Tabernash, Colorado is home to the beautiful Devil’s Thumb Ranch. The ranch is a gorgeous, rustic, Colorado experience. With horses in the background and the stunning Colorado Rocky Mountains in the background, you cannot go wrong by choosing this venue for a wedding. In lieu of the new year, we are doing a year in review of our real weddings from 2016. This one was on the beautiful. When our couples choose ranch style weddings, we get excited for the boots! Our Colorado wedding photographer, Paige Eden, did a wonderful job taking shots of the cowgirl boots. We love the black & white. Natalie chose colorful flowers for her table arrangements and bouquets. We love the sunflowers next to the purple scabiosa. When we do floral design for our weddings, we love the diversity we get from our clients. Some clients want simple, white and modern designs. Others, like Natalie, want colorful, playful and summery designs. One of the best parts of our jobs as Keystone and front range Colorado wedding planners is that we don’t do the same things twice.
The ceremony was stunning against the blue Colorado mountains, green lush grass and evergreen trees. We loved creating the aisle entry with white doors, letters and greenery. The setting was simple and so personalized. Inside the venue, as guests arrived, they were greeted with rustic wood beams, a fireplace and simple white tables with colorful and bright flower arrangements.
How sweet is this?!
Gold was a dominant decor item for this wedding. As the interior decorators and the florists, we get to have total control over the design plan. Natalie and Matt were interested in having a fun, yet western inspired decor theme for their wedding reception. Gold votives, gold taper candle holders filled with sunflowers, hanging amaranthus and gold horseshoes dominated these tables in an elegant way. The bride and groom also had personalized mason jars with stems! This cake was spot on. It matched the rustic, western, Colorado feel of the wedding and the sunflowers tied together the entire floral design. As the ceremony came to a close, a typical Colorado mountain storm rolled in. The rainbows were amazing against this Tabernash background. Guests could take in the views of the horses, the lake and the rolling mountain clouds.
