Sure, we’ve seen loads of adorable sweets tables, candy displays and dessert spreads but what about the rest of the food at your event? It’s no lie that the majority of your budget will go to the food at your wedding and everybody will take part in dinner time so how you display your food should be just as important as any other decor element you conjure up! Buffets and action stations provide the perfect excuse to really amp up the way your food is displayed and served on the big day and boy is there no shortage of awesome ways to show it off! Of course keeping your food warm and fresh is a top priority, which is why these grills, provided by Epicurean Catering look awesome and serve a purpose, too! A good old fashioned grill like the one the corn below was cooked on is perfectly acceptable, too, for a simple hoe down or backyard barbecue. Serve everyone’s food fresh off the grill and keep them coming back. If you don’t have a grill onsite, a display like acrylic boxes to harbor your cobs works wonders.
On the other end of the spectrum, ice is fabulous for displays. Not only does it keep everything fresh and cool but it looks AMAZING!! Paul of Alpine Ice in the Vail Valley provided both of these displays and does amazing work! Aside from warming and cooling your food, sometimes you just need to present it and leave the rest to your guests. I love the look of using an array of serving platters, dishes and baskets and the interest it adds to the table. Like the above display, these utilize an array of pretty platters and silver serving dishes, and the best part is they fall at different heights, which keeps the table looking full and delicious. Any random item like a crate, platter, cutting board, you name it, can add to the look of your display. Lastly, and one of my favorites…wheat grass! So bright, green and fresh, you can’t go wrong adding it to a food table or serving platter that’s roaming around the room. I love it. So there you have it. The way your food looks is super important and since every one of your guests will be looking at it, it’s probably a good idea to make it look as delicious as it tastes. Do you have the munchies now? See you tomorrow!
