This fall one of the most popular colors is Marsala which is a type of wine red! It is beautiful and blends well with not only shades of white but also many different colorful pallets. Below I have gathered a few floral examples that shows combos of flowers using different Marsala flowers. Astilbe is one of my favorites and comes in many different colors including pink, red, white, and dark purple (aka Marsala). Another fun “flower” or decor accent is an artichoke. This purple color we recently worked with and brings out amazing detail on the table top.
Peonies are always gorgeous but when it comes in a dark red it makes your guests do a double take. Scabiosa flower and pods both come in a dark Marsala and bring two completely different looks to the table. Calla lilies and mini calla lilies are so interesting to use instead of a traditional petal flower. Ranunclus pretty much comes in every color under the sun and is a beautiful accent similar to the Tess Rose.Dahlias are absolutely breath taking when they arrive in Marsala. They go from a traditional garden flower to a show stopper. Last but certainly not least is Dangling Amaranthus. This awesome character goes great in a table arrangement or lantern as shown above!Marsala is an excellent choice for a fall or winter accent color. Depending on the location of your wedding be sure to ask your florist which flowers are affected most by the cold weather. This will determine how long your bouquet will last for quality photos. Fall is the perfect time to bring out all the colors so why not go for one of the hottest trends of deep burgundy Marsala!
