The cool weather has definitely made its way to Denver this week! So that means Pumpkin spice, comfy hoodies, and fall leaves! I think the main reason why I love fall so much is all of the color that is throughout the mountains during this time of year. It is great inspiration for bright wedding decor. This is the perfect time to incorporate sunflowers into your decor. Below I have pulled some examples of how you can bring this flower into your big day without it looking too rustic. Enjoy! Be sure your photographer captures these setting photos if you are getting married in a beautiful location.
Both of these are equally beautiful but I love how the arch on the right brings in more accent colors! An aspen or birch arch way brings structure to a natural setting which frames your ceremony photos perfectly. Greet your guests as they take their seats with welcoming floral arrangements. Both of these bouquets bring many different details. I wanted to show the difference between having yellow and white as your main colors versus adding accent colors to your bouquet. Depending on the variation of sunflower that you want for your big day they can range from $2-$4 per stem. YES. This is what I mean by fall colors right here. I love these combinations with Dhalias, Gomprena, and Scabiosa Pods. I adore the floral box on the left but I wanted to show how sunflowers can be used in a more traditional style floral arrangement. The sunflowers on the right are known as teddy sunflower variation. I think they bring a more elegant design to the table.
This naked cake on the left is so cute I don’t think I could cut it! Sunflowers are great to use for this because it doesn’t take many to fill up space. This is an idea that we have recently discussed with one of our clients. Incorporating sunflower seeds into your save the dates or invitations gives your guests a good idea what is to come. Also, you can gift them as favors at the end of the night. Sunflowers have the ability to bring joy to the room in an instant. I enjoy them more for an outdoor setting personally but there are many ways (like using a teddy sunflower variation as one example) to incorporate them in an indoor elegant setting. If this flower is something you can’t live without any florist will find a way to make it work into your big day because this flower is the all encompassing symbol of fall and happiness.
