It’s Friday again! What big events do you have planned for the weekend?
Today’s feature is a special one, the Cymbidium Orchid, and it is really fabulous in any application. It’s colors range from a bright lime green, coppery or bright orange, bright red or burgundy, pink, yellow, and my favorite, white with a tinge of pink (and I don’t even love pink). No matter the color of the petals, though, the look of Cymbidiums are extra special because of the bold colors of their throat, which are normally in the pink or red family, but that make the flower really pop in a grouping with others.
I’m dying over this bouquet right now! Each of these bouquets incorporate a different color combo of orchids and other florals, in a different style, too. This variety of orchid is by far the toughest and is virtually indestructible as a boutonniere or hair flower. They will live for hours without a water source. AND they look good! When it comes to centerpieces, you can use the whole stem of orchids, which usually boast about 15 individual flowers or cut them down to the bloom for a shorter look.

You can get Cymbidiums in two sizes, both of which are bold and large enough to be the center of attention. We love them at ceremonies where they really make a statement and can give a modern or organic look. Pretty much, they’re just awesome. Have a fabulous weekend and we’ll see you on Monday!
