Hello to everyone on a very chilly Friday here in Denver! I cannot believe how cold it has gotten here this week. This weather has me craving hot cocoa by a warm fire all day long…sounds like the perfect day to me! This week, I’m highlighting a very versatile and under-appreciated floral accent, Eucalyptus. Bouquets, centerpieces, swags and garlands all can benefit from the leaves of the Eucalyptus tree. The many varieties of Eucalyptus allow it to be used in so many different applications. Since it is so readily available in the marketplace, it is relatively inexpensive as well. Which makes it the triple threat, gorgeous, versatile and inexpensive…Exciting!!! Take a peek at the gorgeous examples I’ve found of all the different kinds of eucalyptus!
As pictured above, seeded eucalyptus works wonderfully to add texture and movement in centerpieces and bouquets alike.
Above you will see the tall, sturdy eucalyptus branches with circular leaves called Gunnii Eucalyptus that really add a unique element to any floral arrangements! I love the length and romance added by the Willow Eucalyptus in the above picture. This a little more free and whimsical, perfect for a laid-back garden wedding. The above Seed Naked Eucalyptus is fantastic for texture in bouquets and can even be spray painted gold or silver for added fun! Whether your bouquet is going to be a structured beauty or and airy gathering, there’s a Eucalyptus leaf variety for you! Or, the seeded variety is always a great choice for any bouquet if you’re indecisive about which leaves to choose. Eucalyptus leaves provide almost an ethereal element to your big day! The centerpiece above is gorgeous with their simplicity and natural beauty. Also above, the Gunnii Eucalyptus in the mason jar would be an ideal arrangement for a cocktail hour table at a casual garden or rustic wedding!
Don’t forget about your aisle style!! Eucalyptus does wonders for aisle chair or pew decor. Guests will love the free-flowing branches or the crisp look of a eucalyptus wreath! Silver Dollar Eucalyptus is stunning in mass as seen in the garland above. For a great altar adornment, use a garland like above or below, and add flowers of your choice. It’s a simple, in-expensive and easy-to-make arrangement that will have huge impact. Speaking of garlands, why not add one above the entrance to your reception?! How gorgeous is this barn with the eucalyptus decor?? No matter where you decide to incorporate Eucalyptus, it will look stunning and add such a strong element of design and texture. They are great for any style wedding, any time of year so keep them in mind for your big day! Have a wonderful and warm weekend, everyone!
