I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas this week and still has the chance to spend time with family! We are thankful for all of our faithful readers and hope that you had just as special of a holiday as we did!One of the first flowers I ever remember learning about when I was a little girl was lilacs. I’m not sure why it sticks out in my mind as such an important flower to me, but it has always had a special place in my heart. From its smell to the unique structure of the flower, lilacs are beautiful all around. If I had to choose any flower as a perfect symbol for happiness and new life, a lilac would be it. Their colors always look so fresh and new, they are a wonderful spring flower and they seem to have no expectations tied to them such as a rose might have. Lilacs are just pretty, simply perfect on their own. For this and other reasons, they make a wonderful wedding flower! Whether they do stand alone in a vase or are complemented by many flowers, lilacs are going to be a simple yet effective key in your wedding day arrangements. Take a look at some of the
