Okay… who thinks this bouquet is as fabulous as I do? Vibrantly colored, textured, juxtaposed, unique, you name it. One element of it is our feature flower for this week and that it Pin Cushion Protea. You’ll find it here as the orangey-red bloom with a number of pin shaped petals that make up a flower about four inches in diameter. It is sure to add an interesting element to any arrangement you pair it with.
Pin Cushion Protea can be found in tones of yellow, orange and red and while I see it as a more modern flower on it’s own, it really pairs well with a variety of styles and colors. They are native of South Africa where they grow in gardens and are popular as a cut flower. As for us wedding lovers, they are available to us year round and are long lasting, which is always a plus.Every one of the above arrangements and bouquets are completely different but equally interesting and beautiful, with the help of the Pin Cushion Protea within them.Happy Friday and congrats to Amy and Jacob who’s nuptials are tomorrow. We will be celebrating Denver style with a modern and elegant downtown wedding. We will see you all on Monday!
