Happy Friday! Although summer has just begun, I know a lot of you are planning a fall wedding and it’s about that time to get your flower plans in order. A perfect addition to a fall design, that will also give you a unique look is wheat. Yes, wheat! As a whole bunch of just that or tied in with other florals as a filler or small accent, it is a great element to add to your wedding day. I love the asymmetrical addition of wheat to this bouquet that is also full of other unique textures. Lavender is also a great flower to pair it with. You can’t go wrong incorporating wheat into a boutonniere. There’s no way it will lose it’s luster as the night goes on.
And then there are your centerpieces. Of course a mason jar and a wheat and lavender filler is quintessential in a down home event but you can also tie wheat in with florals that you wouldn’t normally think of like soft roses, hydrangeas, parrot tulips and dusty miller. Wheat is also a great element to use in the little details. Top your napkin with a sprig or line the aisle with adorable little bundles and you’ve got a truly unique and detail filled event.
