Our wedding season kicked off this summer with Erin and Ryan’s elegant backyard wedding. These two came to us as CU alums who now live in Northern California for work. They came back to amazing Colorado for their nuptials and had one main goal in mind. To have an interesting and unique event at Erin’s aunt and uncles home in Parker, CO. With a property that was literally created for great parties, a tent was erected on a football field sized lawn and all of the bells and whistles were called in for a great backyard party with a modern and elegant flare.Flowers were created on the basis of being black and white, modern and fun.
They were married at Ave Maria Catholic Church in Parker, where I just have to add, Erin (who works in the marketing department at Facebook) had her bridesmaids posting pictures of her on the altar as the ceremony played out. Classic! A little summer thunderstorm gave way to the perfect opportunity to break out green umbrellas and take advantage of the ominous skies. And of course, the skies cleared just in time for cocktail hour. We wouldn’t have it any other way! After cocktails on the pool deck everyone moved around the house and into the tent for dinner. With the help of the always amazing Epicurean Catering and The Wine Experience, guests were treated to a super special and unique dining experience. Slider, satay and sushi stations each held their own perfectly paired wine to take back and enjoy with your dinner. While some mingled around the room and tasted each option, others hung out outside the tent and played yard games and relaxed. It was perfectly free flowing, easy going and fun.
Erin’s second goal, after providing a unique and fun dinner experience was to throw a full on PARTY! And boy did she get that. With a group full of personality, a private residence venue, a fully stocked custom bar and a top of the line DJ, everyone danced and partied long into the night. On the way out, guests grabbed pizza to go (what better for a late night snack?), fresh out of Epicurean’s onsite pizza oven, and took it for the ride home in personalized pizza boxes. It was a hit!Erin and Ryan, you are such a fun loving and sweet couple and we had an absolute blast planning and watching your wedding unfold. We wish you all of the luck in the world and look forward to keeping in touch! Thank you for letting us be a part of your big day.
