Meet Robin and Mike. Two of the kindest, sweetest, and happiest Yoga Instructors (and people!) I have ever met. And that is how they met – in Yoga class. They noticed one another, started hanging out after classes, grabbing sushi and falling in love. They’re love for yoga is only second to their love for each other. And their friends and family, because I don’t think I have ever been around a group where you couldn’t really tell who was a friend and who was family – they were all so genuinely happy to be with one another, at this gorgeous celebration for 2 wonderful people. It all started at the Omni Interlocken in Broomfield – home to a gorgeous golf course and views of the Flatirons in Boulder.Matthew Morris and his amazing team made all the ladies, extra extra pretty! The traditional Jewish ceremony was infused with pops of purple, while still acknowledging the natural surroundings, with soft greens and an Aspen Tree Huppah.
Have you ever seen such a good looking Bridal party?! Mike’s Dad has a great classic car (Mustang? Corvette? Forgive me, Mike & Mr. Konrad!) that Robin pulled up to the ceremony in – the perfect way to make a unique entrance!Their vows were personal, emotional and magical. After the breaking of the glass and that grand first kiss, the party moved over to the Omni Pavillion. Cocktail hour was held on the terrace where James Pieper provided entertainment and guests had the option to change into more comfortable shoes and stay warm on this late-September evening. It was also at this point that the color scheme changed to navy and khaki, which was perfect for the dinner reception decor…one of my favorites of the year!Books were laid out for guests to answer the cover’s questions: What should we name our kids? What is the best marriage advice you have ever received? And the custom topper on the Das Meyer cake – just one of a few homages to their yogi lifestyle!
Table numbers were yoga poses! Maura Gauthier of The Paper Guppy created a really fun logo that was infused throughout their entire wedding stationery suite – from the Save the Date, to the Invitation, Welcome Letter, and napkin belly band! While guests ate a delicious dinner, the terrace was transformed into comfortable lounge seating areas for guests to relax on during breaks from the dance floor, which kept extremely lively by Funkiphino! Another tribute to the great Colorado lifestyle was Robin’s desire to have a Trail Mix bar for guests to load up on before their journey’s home the next day – we LOVED this idea!Truly a wonderful evening and great first event at the Omni Interlocken!Robin and Mike, thank you SO much for including us in such a momentous occasion in your lives! We truly enjoyed working with you two every step of the way and then the ultimate pleasure of seeing how loved you are but such amazing family and friends. We wish you all the best and know that you are expecting…..a very happy life together
