There are many different interesting things that you can do with your floral plan for your big day. I thought I would highlight one that is getting a little play these days that is not even a floral element.. A vintage brooch bouquet.
I am actually in love with these amazing works of art. More than just hand candy to walk down the aisle with, these beautiful bouquets can double as your something old and your something new. And the styles are as diverse as a bouquet of flowers. Using old fashioned cameos such as the one on the bottom right, creates a more romantic and regal bouquet. But they do not have to be all brooches, you can mix in real flowers and greenery to create a truly unique bouquet that people will remember.
This one below is my favorite, I love the rich ethereal look you get when you mix the pearl brooches with the cute contemporary brooches. Keeping it all in a monochromatic color scheme gives the bouquet a more sophisticated look, even though there are definately some qurky pins in there!I have done a little research and it seems that this is not the easiest project for a do it yourself sort. But it is totally doable. If you want to give it a try, the average bouquet takes 50-60 pins. They are wired much like a florist would wire delicate flowers for a bouquet and then they are wrapped with a favorite color ribbon.
