Forget boring old centerpieces, flowers are taking over wedding decor in a whole new way these days. Floral garland is back in a big way and are gracing everything from the aisles to the ceilings to the tables and the chairs, and adding instant romance to ceremony and reception spaces alike. This is one of those wedding trends I can definitely jump on board with, and you can too!
Table garlands are definitely one of the most charming centerpiece ideas– and they’re perfect in that they don’t obstruct the view across the table like some centerpieces can. These low-lying botanical beauties look especially grand down the center of an extra-long rectangular table (obviously they aren’t great for round tables). Whether you opt for an entirely green garland made of vines and leaves (or airy ferns), or one with buds and blooms, they certainly make a statement. They need not always be used in the center of a table either – you can use them to drape the front of a dessert table, pin up behind a table that is against a wall, or drape from the ceiling!
Of course, a lush flower garland makes a pretty spectacular table runner! Using greenery is a less expensive but fresh take on a garland centerpiece. So lush and vivid! Want to add some floral flair to your ceremony space? Drape garlands along the sides of the aisle or between two chairs at the back of the aisle instead of using a runner. The bride and groom’s chairs are just begging to be adorned with beautiful blooms and greenery, don’t you think? Wreaths, half wreaths, and mini garlands all work equally well to add that special touch to their seats. This specific garland is possibly one of the prettiest things I have ever seen!
Who says your flowers need to be on the table? Large floral wreaths make for dramatic centerpieces when suspended over the tables instead. Draping a garland of bold, beautiful blooms over the doorway will make any entrance way feel more festive. What a beautiful way to send off the bride and groom! Even Fido is getting in on the garland action! Hopefully I have inspired a little garland into your wedding day! It really is such a magical way to bring in creative floral design. The best thing about garland is the endless ways it can be used and the endless products it can be made with. Get creative and make a lovely statement that will take your guests breath away!
