Living in Colorado and having the amazing mountains at our disposal makes it almost a crime not to incorporate them into our events in one way or another. That’s not to say that everyone has a rustic and outdoorsy style, though. That’s when we bring in our clients’ other tastes and mesh both worlds together. You can do it any way you want, whether you love all things vintage, want an elegant event or love modern and contemporary looks.Believe it or not, blending rustic with modern is easier than you think. The juxtaposition of items like wood, rattan, glass and silver can be amazingly harmonious. The below tablescape mixes woodsy elements with straight and clean lines, simple plate ware with grassy place mats and modular branches with soft hydrangeas. Love it!
Just like above, the more modern anemone and simple, white plates add a contemporary accent to the very organic table and runner. The number one way, in my mind at least, is to mix and match furniture! Not only does it look amazing but it adds a ton of interest and can introduce another style, instantly. Start with a rustic or very modern table and add the opposite chair and you’re almost done! Another one, mixing acrylic with woodsy elements. I’m obsessed.
